What better day to start a blog than International Women’s Day?! I’ve been thinking about this for awhile and always quickly dismissed it. But a few weeks ago the Lord made it very clear to me that now was the time. So, here it goes.
As I was reading in John this week, a verse popped out at me that I literally had not ever noticed before.
The Bible says in John 5:20, “For the Father loves the Son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel.”
I read the verse over and over. Something clicked for me. The Father showed Jesus what he was doing so He could join Him. And since the Father loves me, won’t he do the same?
So, what is the Father doing? I’m sure there are lots of things, but this is what he shared with me.
“I am giving women a voice.”
He showed me a picture of a platform being built while a woman was standing on it. She’s handed a megaphone. Surprised, she takes it and begins speaking. Her face lights up as she begins to speak.
“I am exposing repressive systems and mindsets to allow women to take their rightful place. The women I am raising up are not bitter and angry. Like Sarah, they have served their male counterparts in love. They have been refined in the fire. They are tested and have a pure message. It is a message of HOPE and KINDNESS. It will unite, not blame and divide. They will speak the language of LOVE & PEACE.”
While the Lord is moving, the enemy is raging. He is getting frantic trying to keep us in silence. He doesn’t want women to use their voice. I believe there is an onslaught specifically targeting women in this hour. The lies are getting louder, the tension is getting stronger, temptation to give up and stay hidden is real.
“I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel.”
We may have bruised heels, but the enemy’s head has been crushed! I believe each of us have a platform and God is putting the megaphone in our hand. Will you take it up? Will you speak? Will you come out of the shadows?
This is me coming out of my silence and I’d like to invite you to join me. Enough is enough! Let’s break the sound barrier and declare the good news of the gospel from those platforms He’s put us on.
Thank you for reading! I’ll be back…
